Martin Luther King Dream Big Parade Monday Jan 15 Brooksville

Join the Hernando County Democratic Party at the
Martin Luther King Dream Big Parade
Mon. Jan. 15th in Brooksville

Hernando Democrats are going all out for the Martin Luther King Dream Big Parade this year in
Brooksville but we need your help. Let’s send a strong message to honor the memory of civil
rights leader Dr. King. Since this is an election year, we will also be encouraging everyone to get
out and vote this year.
Meet us at Hernando High School, 700 Bell Avenue, in Brookville starting at 8 a.m. where the
floats will be organized. The parade begins at 10 a.m. You can either sit in one of our five
vehicles in the parade or walk alongside our group or alternate between the two during the
parade so that everyone can participate in comfort. We’ll have Democrats Care and other signs
for you to wave or bring your own.
Since this is an election year, it’s important for Democrats to kick off the year with a strong local
presence. So join in the fun and be there. Bring drinking water and snacks and dress warmly.
The parade will begin on Oakwood, then left onto Howell Avenue to Fort Dade, left on Fort
Dade to Bell Avenue, and then returning to Hernando High School. It will most likely end at the
high school around noon, depending on the number of floats. So park your vehicle at the
school and return to it at the end of the parade.
Democrats Care T-shirts will be available onsite for $15.00 or to order for delivery later. Signs
are for sale for $25.00 for posting in your yard or window after the parade.
If you can’t join in, please attend the parade and cheer us on! For more information, contact
Democratic Club President Debbie McDonald at 727.488.2644. Find us on Facebook at
